Native to Singapore, Peninsular Malaysia and Sumatra, the lotong tree can grow up to 30 metres in height. It is noted for its furry twigs, as well as kts clusters of drooping white flowers that form edible, scarlet fruits that are thickly set with soft hairs, similar to the rambutan.
