Singapore Adenia
(sautan; adenia macrophylla var. singaporeana)
c. early 19th century
A botanical variety of the adenia macrophylla, the Singapore variation is a rare forest dweller. The climber uses its tendrils to twine around larger trees, and is distinguishable from other members of its genus by its glands at the base of its leaves, and its poisonous nature.
