Docents support WRS’ vision and mission.  By engaging the guests at our Parks, they help to provide meaningful and memorable wildlife experiences, and spread the conservation message.

Volunteer objective: Engage & educate park guests

Pre-requisites

  • 21 years of age and above
  • Deep interest in nature and wildlife
  • Keen interest in engaging guests on wildlife conservation

Commitment

  • Registration fee:  $150
  • Monthly duties for 12 months
  • 8 weeks training8 weekends, divided in two phases -> [Common Phase] Induction for trainees - overview of WRS & our parks, [Station-based] Station-specific training - comprehensive training for 1 docent station

Recruitment process

  • Twice yearly, April and September. Please note that there is a registration and training fee of $150.
  • Interview and selection process
  • Successful applicants to go through an 8-week training programme
