Supported by Temasek Cares Foundation, Play-Ability is a recreational sports programme for persons with disabilities (PWDs) aimed at providing PWDs more opportunities to participate regularly in community-based sports. Sessions are focused on fitness, fun, safety, and socialisation rather than on acquiring technical sports skills.
Volunteers are needed to participated in weekly court, field, or pool based activities to buddy up and socialise with participants, and ensure play in a fun but safe manner. Project starts in January 2018 and will continue through the year.
- Assist the coach with crowd control and safety
- Befriend, interact and play sports with the participants
Criteria for Volunteers:
- No criminal record
- Able to commit on a regular basis (weekly or bi-weekly)
- Experience working with PWDs helpful but not necessary
