MINDS Me Too! Club
MTC aims to enhance the social skills and social integration of adults with intellectual disability. From fun and interactive games and outings, MTC engages clients to befriend other peers as well as volunteers.
We are looking for volunteers to support our programmes on weekdays.
Adhoc volunteers:
- Join weekday activities at least once a month (2-3 hours) on Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday. You can see our activity schedule here: www.tinyurl.com/mtcplans1
- Plan and/or execute activities for adults with intellectual disabilities i.e. art and craft, sports, gardening, bowling, swimming, etc.
- Attend volunteer case reviews once every 3 months, to discuss about the progress of clients and how to better support them
- Undergo training from MINDS and SSI to understand more about PWIDs, mental health issues, autism, and other developmental disorders
Regular volunteers:

- Prepare materials for activities &/or home visits together with other volunteers
- Conduct home visits to our clients at least once a fortnight (may be conducted after working hours/on weekends)
- Fill & submit home visit log within 1 week of every home visit
- Attend volunteer case reviews once every 3 months, to discuss about the progress of clients and how to better support them
- Undergo training from MINDS and SSI to understand more about PWIDs, mental health issues, autism, and other developmental disorders
Befrienders:
- Conduct home visits to our clients at least once a fortnight for 45 min to 1 hour (may be conducted after working hours/on weekends)
- Prepare materials for activities &/or home visits together with other volunteers
- Fill & submit home visit log within 1 week of every home visit
- Attend volunteer case reviews once every 3 months, to discuss about the progress of clients and how to better support them
- Undergo training from MINDS and SSI to understand more about PWIDs, mental health issues, autism, and other developmental disorders
Criteria for Volunteers:
- Singapore citizen or Permanent Resident
- No criminal record
- Able to commit for at least 6 months
- Able to attend one day orientation
- Seniors welcome to join
